The exhibit, which is part of the College’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, was inspired by the experience of “boat people.” Fusing visual art and the written word, it focuses on immigration and relocation, memory and the refugee experience. Text by Julia Alvarez.
In 2016 German Perez was invited to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. An exhibit was mounted and a presentation was given on the importance of diversity in fine art.
